Queen Luise’s Myth in V. A. Zhukowsky’s Poetry and Prose

Abstract
In this article the reception of Prussian Queen Luise’s romantic myth by V.A. Zhukowsky is considered. The Zhukowsky’s activity as Russian language teacher of grand princess Alexandra Fedorovna (daughter of Queen Luise) was the immediate cause of attention of Zhukowsky to this theme. In 1817–1821 he studied the Queen Luise’s biography and visited the memorial places. The Queen Luise’s theme is one of more important in the poem «Tsvet zaveta», where it is associated with flower symbolic, and in the essay «Vospominanie».
