A Plot about Frontiersmen in Creative Work of N. S. Leskov

In the article a plot about frontiersmen and creation of an image of Siberia, which were being formed in creative work of Leskov during all his creative period, are analyzed. The facts themselves resulted in the merging of factual and artistic sides, and this became the main feature of the author▓s poetic manner, which also included short literary forms and intermediate genres: feature article, sketch, essay. As a result, the facts were not only creatively adapted, but also publicisticly interpreted and deeply generalized.
