Abstract
The article describes the main categories of narratological analysis, such as point of view, fact, event, narrative, plot and story, motif. It is shown that the plot and story are contrasted aspects of interpretation of narrative. The necessary distinction between narratology and theory of plot in terms of the research subject are made.
